Latest News >>

The Parrsborough Shore Historic Society held its' Annual General Meeting on the 26th of January at the Fundy Geological Museum.

With a moderate turnout of supporters and members of the Society, President Frank Hartman welcomed all and introduced two speakers who made presentations to the Society. Colin Curleigh reported an update from the Project Action Committee and Keith Graham provided an update on the Restoration Project.
Both reports were informative and contained a great deal of information about which members could well be excited on the implementation of the Project Report and the Restoration Project.

On completion of the two presentations, Frank introduced the 2007 Board of Directors to the members.
After a reading of the Minutes of the 2006 Annual General Meeting, they were accepted as read and approved.
Frank then provided a brief review of the various Annual Reports, which were accepted and approved.
The auditors for 2008 were then approved and appointed, after which the election of the Board of Directors for 2008 was held. With 15 approved positions and 14 candidates, all were approved by acclamation. Frank was still endeavouring to enlist the support of a member of one of the schools to sit as a member of the Board and will report back at a later date.
The meeting was then adjourned for coffee and sweets.

The Board of Directors then met in private session to install the Executive for 2008. The list of current Board Members, Excecutive and Committee Heads is found on the Historic Society Information page.
