Museum Committee Makes Start on New Exhibit

Latest News >>

The museum committee made a crucial first step today, 9 Apr, toward creating a new and exciting exhibit for the museum. Gathering at the same time others were removing the winterizing plywood, members of the committee emptied the "Victorian Parlour" of most of its' furnishings and made plans to clean up the ceiling in the room.

Doug, Ed and Linda make a start.

Just one of the challenges facing the committee is relocating most of the items that were on display in the room, including the old parlour pedal organ. Which still works.....more or less.

Frank, Con and Linda try to figure out what to do with the old organ

The old organ will be removed and placed on display in the main dining room eventually, after other items in that room have been relocated to a new "nursery" display on the second floor. In the meantime, it is being protected from the work on the ceiling that needs to be done.

Ed, Frank, Doug and Con center the organ so it can be covered during ceiling work.
