Although the Museum has closed its' doors for the season, work continues inside, cleaning exhibits, removing rust, repairing and refurbishing artifacts, reorganizing spaces to accommodate a potential new exhibit for the next season. The most obvious work however is readily apparent when you walk into the kitchen and find the entire counter and sink gone.
Ken and Ed have removed the old one and are now busily constructing a new counter. This of course entails much more than just putting a new frame in. As anyone knows, there isn't a square corner nor a straight line in the building which is creating a whole new challenge for them. At one point they had to insert a shim that tapered from almost 1/2 inch to nil over the space of less than three feet.
Ken demonstrates the patience of a saint while levelling the new counter.
